From the Desk of Father Ed….

This blog is a new adventure for me. I hope you will join me in using this technology to help spread the Good News!

MsgrArnister3Each week, I will share with you my thoughts on the Scripture passages that we have listened to together during our Sunday liturgies. From time to time, I will also reflect on Feasts in the liturgical calendar, as well as special events held in our parish. I invite you to comment on what you read here. At the end of the posts you will also find links to recordings of my Sunday Homilies that you may listen to and share with family members or shut-ins. (Open them in your media player.) I want you to feel that these pages are as much yours as they are mine. After you read an entry selected from the right side of this page,  simply scroll to the bottom of the post and click on “comment.” Type your comment in the box along with the security code and click “submit.” (Comments should be charitable and in the spirit of building up our parish community. Comments are moderated before posting and may be edited based on content and available space.) I invite you to encourage your family and friends to do the same. Just direct them to FatherEdArnister.org.

After our blog manager posts my  reflection each week, I will check in from time to time to see what comments have been submitted. Because of my  pastoral responsibilities, I will not be able to reply to every post, but be assured that they will add to the life of our parish.

I hope these reflections will prompt you to spend more time with the Scripture passages throughout the week and reflect on what they mean in your daily life. They may also be helpful before your times of quiet prayer each day. You may find the Scripture Readings for Sundays and Weekdays here. Just click on any month and day on the calendar. I suggest you bookmark the page and visit it often.

May God always keep you in His Love,
